Good Thing/Bad Thing

Good thing/Bad thing:

You walk into your local sub shop and before you can approach the counter, one of the employees calls out your entire order and says it'll be ready in a minute.

Update: Liz asked that I share my order. I get the regular Italian Sub: Provolone, Ham, Prosciutto, Genoa Salami, Capicola, lettuce, onions, vinegar, salt, and pepper. I add a bag of chips and a sweet tea with a shot of lemonade.

Comments

are you going to share your order with us? so we can pick it apart and stuff.

There is nothing wrong with liking sandwiches.
I say: Good thing.
There was a place I used to get breakfast from sometimes, and they got to know what I liked (which I thought was AMAZING for a Times Square eatery), and I'd always feel bad when I'd want to order something other than my "regular" because I thought it was awesome that they remembered me, and I didn't want to screw it up.

That's kinda similar to the sub I order when I get one. I get roast beef, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, green pepper, vinegar & oil, salt & pepper. ... Is it lunchtime yet?

I have two places that I go for lunch regularly. At both places, all I have to do is nod my head when I walk through the door and my order is ready by the time I get to the counter. Most of the time, I don't even have to bother with the line; I pay them over the back counter and pick up my order there. There's something good about being a regular customer -- and having a lunch diet that doesn't vary. (I know: Boring!)
